Jimmy Kimmel will remain at ABC for at least one more year after signing a contract extension that keeps Jimmy Kimmel Live! on the network through the end of the 2026–27 television season, according to Bloomberg. His previous deal had been due to expire in May 2026.

The extension follows a turbulent period for the late-night host. In September, ABC briefly suspended him after remarks about the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk sparked backlash . Kimmel later returned to record ratings and resumed his long-running clashes with President Donald Trump.

Kimmel and Disney agreed on the extension several months ago but delayed their plans out of respect for fellow late-night host Stephen Colbert.
