A person of interest was in custody Monday in New York in the Nov. 16 shooting that left Jets cornerback Kris Boyd in critical condition, multiple outlets reported.
The suspect was apprehended in upstate Buffalo one week after the New York Police Department released surveillance images of the incident.
Boyd was taken to Bellevue Hospital following a midtown Manhattan shooting shortly after 2 a.m. He was able to conduct a brief interview with NYPD detectives to provide information and vital details about the incident.
Reports in the aftermath of the shooting indicated Boyd had a bullet lodged in his lung and underwent multiple surgeries in his first 24 hours at the hospital.
