LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A new medical glove manufacturer has selected Louisville as its U.S. headquarters and production site.
The UK health care manufacturer Glovesafe OpCo Inc. is planting its flag in Kentucky, as GLVUS, and will make sterile medical gloves in Louisville.
GLVUS founder and CEO Matthew Griffin is promising upward of 100 new jobs in Louisville within the first four years of production.
The company will produce premium sterile surgical gloves in Louisville, a product not currently made in the U.S.
“These are surgeons’ gloves, and we’re going to make Louisville, really, the leader in the U.S. for producing these gloves,” Griffin said Monday.
GLVUS announced it is locating its North American headquarters and production facility in Louisville, near UPS Worldport.
