ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A Georgia state senator who was once arrested at the state Capitol has entered the race for Marjorie Taylor Greene’s congressional seat.
State Sen. Colton Moore, R-Trenton, announced his candidacy on social media on Monday.
Earlier this year, Moore was attempting to enter the state House chambers to attend Gov. Brian Kemp’s 2025 State of the State speech. Moore had been banned from the House floor by Speaker Jon Burns, who was irate over Moore’s denunciation of late House Speaker David Ralston.
