BUFFALO, N.Y. — Two regional foundations are close to finalizing a deal to contribute to a so-called transition fund, and a long-term investment fund in order to help bring Mayor-elect Sean Ryan's plans to fruition.

Officials with the John R. Oishei Foundation and Ralph C. Wilson Foundation tell 2 On Your Side that they are close to finalizing commitments to contribute funding to the transition fund and the yet-to-be-branded long-term investment fund that the Ryan administration will establish.
