MCMURRAY, Pa. —

Police, firefighters and paramedics were all called to the scene of a fire at a home in McMurray, Washington County on Tuesday morning.

The fire was reported shortly after 3:30 a.m. at a house on Thompsonville Road. Advertisement

"There was a single occupant home at the time. He made it out of the house safely on his own. He was actually the caller of 911 also. He is uninjured. So far, all of our crews are uninjured as well," Peters Township Fire Chief Michael McLaughlin said.

Firefighters said the cold on Tuesday morning was a challenge at the scene.

"We're taking extreme caution. All the water that we've sprayed has quickly frozen this morning," McLaughlin said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
