COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) — The Colleton County Fire-Rescue is reporting a bar shooting that sent a man to the hospital early Sunday morning.
Officials say crews were called to the 23700 block of Augusta Highway near the Maple Cane community after receiving reports of a shooting in the parking lot of the Bar & Grill.
A man had been involved in a fight that resulted in him getting shot several times.
The Colleton County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene. Deputies applied a tourniquet in an attempt to stop the man’s bleeding before firefighter-paramedics started to treat the man’s many injuries.
Crews rushed the man to the Trauma Center at HCA Trident Hospital in North Charleston for further medical attention.
Colleton County deputies are investigating this shooting.
