The Nextdoor community in south Reno is perpetually a tinderbox waiting to explode.
This is probably true of most communities on the social media site, on which residents are grouped together like a hyperlocal Facebook to complain about what’s ruining the neighborhood on any given day.
Kids on e-bikes. Someone’s loud truck. Squirrels in birdfeeders. That new apartment complex, and how much it's going to ruin traffic.
Lately, we’ve been hyperfocused on what’s happening across from the Summit mall. A few weeks ago, a document was mistakenly submitted to the city of Reno suggesting that the construction of a new Costco was imminent.
(For what it’s worth, it’s not. Costco and city officials soon clarified that they were requesting a pre-application meeting. In other words, the document
