MONTVILLE, Conn. (WFSB) - A driver is facing multiple charges after a traffic stop in Montville over the weekend.

According to the Montville Police Department, a man was seen driving on the wrong side of the roadway to avoid a road closure barricade but then traveled on the parade path.

Officers tried to make a stop the driver, but he was not cooperating with police.

He was then found parked at the Brown Derby Lounge located on the Norwich-New London Turnpike.

When officers approached the operator, they noticed he was impaired by alcohol or drugs.

Following an investigation, it was revealed that he was operating his car while being under the influence.

Officials have identified the driver as Benett, they have not released his last name.
