Thousands of children’s sports tumblers are recalled because the handles have a defect that can be hazardous.

HydroJug recalled 17,000 of the 14-ounce tumblers that were sold at Academy Sports, Scheels, Combined Sales Company, Gordons Ace Hardware, Bucks Ace, Kents Grocery and Basin Sports. They also were available online at Hydrojug.com, Amazon.com, Well.ca and iHerb.com from May 2025 through June 2025 for about $25.

The tumblers were sold in five patterns - Cowgirl, Daisy Checkers, Dinosaur, Sport and Bows, according to an announcement with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The problem with the tumblers is that the rivets on the handles “can come loose, causing the handle to detach, posing a choking hazard for children.”

The recalled tumblers can be identified by checkin
