LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Laredo police said they executed three early-morning search warrants Tuesday, December 9, with residents reporting activity in their neighborhoods at about 6 a.m., according to posts on community pages.

In a statement on the department’s Facebook page, officials identified the locations as the 1900 block of South Ejido Avenue, the 5500 block of Marlin Drive, and the 100 block of Northpoint Drive.

By 6:54 a.m., police announced the situation was contained and safe for nearby residents, though they urged the public to avoid the areas.

A KGNS crew at the South Ejido location observed several vehicles and law enforcement personnel on scene.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
