A winter weather advisory was released by the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 12:57 p.m. valid from Wednesday 10 a.m. until Thursday 10 a.m. for Westmoreland Ridges, Fayette Ridges and Higher Elevations of Indiana.

The weather service says to expect, "Total snow accumulations between 3 and 5 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph."

"Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes," explains the weather service. "Please report snow or ice accumulations by calling 412-262-1988, posting to the NWS Pittsburgh Facebook page, or using X @NWSPittsburgh."
