KALAMAZOO, MI — Additional service will be temporarily added to three of Kalamazoo Metro’s busiest routes, each of which connects residents to retail areas.

Metro will ramp up weekday service by adding an additional bus, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday, Dec. 15, through Thursday, Dec. 24, on the following routes:

1: Westnedge Avenue

9: Gull Road

14: West Main Street

Buses normally run every half hour on those routes in those timeframes on weekdays, departing the downtown station at 15 and 45 minutes after the hour. An additional bus will now depart the station on each route on the top of the hour, said Keshia Woodson-Sow, Metro director of operations.
