DES MOINES, Iowa —

An air show coming to central Iowa in 2027 will include a top demonstration team from the U.S. Navy.

The 2027 Iowa Air Show: Fields of Thunder is being formally announced Tuesday. It's the first major aviation event coming to central Iowa since 1991, according to Catch Des Moines. It will feature the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.

Catch Des Moines and other event organizers are expected to provide more details at a news conference Tuesday.
