David Pastrnak is inching closer to a return, so much so that he was termed a “game-time decision” by coach Marco Sturm for the Bruins’ matchup against the St. Louis Blues at Enterprise Center on Tuesday night (8 p.m.)
But it did sound like the team would err on the side of caution.
“Talking to David today and the medical staff, we just want to make sure that he’s 100 percent. If we (have to) take another two, three, four days, we’ll take it. We just want to make sure,” Sturm told reporters in St. Louis after the morning skate.
Pastrnak has not played since the B’s beat the Islanders on Thanksgiving Eve after he injured himself late in the game. He appeared to grab at his hip/side/upper leg area.
The B’s are 3-2 in his absence.
