A Luling man and former Hahnville High School employee was arrested Monday and accused of indecent behavior with a student, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Devin Candies, 30, is accused of sending inappropriate messages to two students via social media, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The messages were reported to authorities by a school administrator in September, about two months after Candies left the school in July.

St. Charles Parish Public Schools officials said Tuesday that they reported Candies to authorities immediately after concerns were brought to their attention.
