NEW BERLIN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Every year when winter weather hits, the Poblocki Paving Company switches over from paving to plowing, to help clear snow.

“Some days we pave and plow at the same time,” Poblocki Paving President Greg Kastenholz said. “Right now, we’re just plowing, and we’re ready for tonight’s storm."

Snowfall has been below average the last two winters, leading to financial losses for Kastenholz and his team of 200 employees.

“In recent years, we haven’t seen snow until after Christmas, and this year it’s starting off strong,” Kastenholz said. "It really hurts, it’s a big investment as a plowing company to have everything ready and you can’t use it.”
