FREEBURN, Ky. (WYMT) - A woman is charged with attempted murder after an incident in Pike County.

On Saturday, December 6, Kentucky State Police responded to a home on Chestnut Branch in the Freeburn community.

They found Nancy Gearles of Freeburn unresponsive near her home.

Police say she had multiple lacerations, bruising and burns to various parts of her body.

Troopers also discovered her home had recently been on fire.

Angel Hunt, 28, of Wharncliff, West Virginia, was arrested and taken to the Pike County Detention Center.

She is charged with attempted murder, assault, strangulation and arson.
