OMAHA, Neb. —

Omaha police are investigating after a pedestrian was run over by a vehicle in North Omaha. It happened Tuesday on North 24th Street near Florence Boulevard just before 9:15 p.m.

Police said the driver struck the victim, then left the scene. Paramedics took the victim to the hospital in critical condition.

No description of the suspect driver is available at this time.
