CAMPBELL, Mo. (KFVS) - Firefighters responded to a motorhome fire Tuesday afternoon in Campbell, Missouri.

According to the Campbell Volunteer Fire Department, the motorhome was parked behind a local business, and had heavy smoke and fire coming from the vehicle.

The owner told the fire department there was a juvenile and a dog trapped inside.

Crews were able to get into the back of the vehicle to start extinguishing the fire, while one fireman searched for the juvenile.

According to the fire department, the firefighters were able to get the juvenile out and take him to a nearby business to provide first aid.

A Survival Flight helicopter took the patient to a hospital in Memphis, Tennessee for treatment.

According to the fire department, the dog passed away.
