The North Eastern Council (NEC), under the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDONER), has released Rs 8,46,81,382 in November, for various development programs in Meghalaya.

The funds will support sports and youth infrastructure, bridge connectivity, institutional facilities for skill and technical education, and livelihood-oriented craft clusters, enhancing connectivity and income opportunities.

A modern commercial complex, constructed at Barik Point, Shillong, at a cost of Rs 22.73 crore, was completed on November 11, 2025.
