Health Minister Wailadmiki Shylla has announced that the recruitment of over 150 doctors has already commenced for recruitment in the Community Health Centres (CHCs) and Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in Jaintia Hills.
This was informed by the western zone of the Jaintia National Council (JNC) on Tuesday after seeking the the intervention of the health minister and Director of Health Services (DHS) Dr. JS Momin on the shortage of healthcare staff and facilities in CHCs and PHCs in Jaintia Hills region.
“He (Shylla) has assured the delegation that the government is taking steps to address the issues. The recruitment of approximately 150 doctors for CHCs and PHCs has already commenced, and we will address the shortage of medications and testing equipment,” JNC-WZ president Hamehi Bamon said
