Local authorities have scaled back the search for a missing 19-year-old man in the Woody Creek area after more than a week without locating him, but hope the clear skies and warmer weather forecast for this weekend can aid their effort.

Pitkin County sheriff’s deputies, Mountain Rescue Aspen and other personnel began looking for Stephen Bull, who lives with his father in Woody Creek, on Tuesday, Dec. 2. The sheriff’s office issued an alert the next day warning residents that Bull was maybe armed and urging vigilance.
