LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Temperatures are starting off a little warmer this morning thanks to a more southerly flow as well as pockets of fog beginning to develop.
As you head out the door to work and school, make sure to allow yourself a little extra time as we are seeing some reduced visibility across the region.
Thankfully, fog will burn off relatively quickly through the morning hours and set us up with a beautiful afternoon ahead with warming temperatures.
Highs today look to top out into the lower 70s with a southwest wind turning more northwest through the second half of the day as the cold front pushes through.
Unfortunately, this front won’t bring much in the way of rain chances as it will be moisture starved, but it will bring a brief cool down heading into Thursday.
