STORMALERT WX 3 FORECAST:
UPDATED: 4 AM WEDNESDAY
With our clipper system exiting eastward, a potent cold front on the backside of the low pressure system is bringing some powerful winds throughout SE Minnesota and North Iowa and some additional snowfall. A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for the entire region through 6 AM Wednesday to account for this second round of snow, where around 1" could accumulate in spots. Wind gusts will hover around 50 MPH at times behind the cold front, resulting in blowing snow through the morning commute timeframe. A High Wind Warning is in place for Winnebago, Hancock, Worth, and Cerro Gordo counties through 9 AM Wednesday. Countless roads (both main and secondary) will remain partially/completely snow-covered for the Wednesday morning commute as well
