PHOENIX (AZFamily) — An active investgation has closed a portion of a major Phoenix road early Wednesday morning.

Officers were called to the area of 31st Avenue and Indian School Road around 2:30 a.m. after reports of a body in the road.

Arizona’s Family crews at the scene confirmed a body was found in the area.

Police closed Indian School Road in both directions from 28th Avenue to 31st Avenue as they investigate the person’s death.

It’s still unclear what led to the person’s death.
