OpenAI CEO Sam Altman is balancing two very different worlds, leading the development of a cutting-edge AI system while simultaneously figuring out life as a new dad. And in an amusing twist, he says the very technology he helped create is now his biggest support system at home.

During his “first” visit to NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Altman said that he often turned to ChatGPT whenever he felt stuck as a parent. “I cannot imagine having gone through, figuring out how to raise a newborn without ChatGPT,” he told Fallon, adding with a laugh, “Clearly, people did it for a long time, no problem.”
