MIDDLESBROUGH have no plans to recall Neto Borges from his Bristol City loan in January - with the Brazilian revealing he's keen on making his move to the Robins permanent, if the opportunity presents itself.

New boss Kim Hellberg has shown a desire to give every Boro player an opportunity, with Alex Bangura and Alex Gilbert coming in from the cold, and Lukas Engel set to return after his loan spell in the MLS came to an end.

But Boro won't cut Borges' loan spell with Bristol City short, with the left-back set to see out the season at Ashton Gate. And the defender is keen on staying with the Robins beyond the current campaign.
