CBS has released a teaser for an upcoming town hall, hosted by the network's new editor-in-chief, Bari Weiss, and featuring Erika Kirk, the widow of Charlie Kirk.

The tone of the trailer—released nearly three months to the date after Charlie Kirk's assassination—has been criticized by some online, with journalist Juliet Jeske saying in a post on X, "It sounds like the narrator is happy Kirk died. The music. Everything about this ad just seems inappropriate." Another X user wrote, "The fox newsification [sic] of CBS news [sic] is almost complete."
