Firefighters in Phoenix successfully rescued a hiker who got stuck overnight on Camelback Mountain's Echo Canyon Trail.

Rescue crews arriving via helicopter initially had a difficult time reaching the man due to his location on the trail, ABC affiliate KNXV/ABC15ARIZONA reported.

The hiker was initially spotted by Phoenix Fire Department during a routine flight Tuesday night.

KNXV chopper video captured the daring rescue Wednesday, with crews seen safely flying the hiker off the mountain and taking him to safety.
