YOUNGSTOWN - Police are investigating after gunfire struck a home on the city’s South Side Tuesday night while a woman and her children were inside.

Officers responded to the 600 block of Pasadena Avenue shortly before 9:50 p.m. following reports of gunfire. A resident told police she was watching television in the living room, and her two daughters were in a bedroom when she heard several gunshots and dropped to the floor.

No one was injured, but bullets damaged the west and south sides of the house. Police found three bullet fragments in a southwest bedroom. In the children's bedroom, a bullet hole was found in the window frame; the round had penetrated a closet door.
