A 24-year-old man is accused of assaulting five female strangers on multiple occasions and in various locations in Toronto – including two TTC stations – in recent weeks.

Toronto Police say officers responded to a call for an assault that had just occurred at Jane Station, at Jane St. and Bloor St. W., around 5:50 p.m. on Monday.

“It is alleged that a female victim was assaulted by an unknown male suspect as she was leaving the station,” police said in a statement released Wednesday, adding the same man then allegedly assaulted a second female as he was leaving the area.

“Officers arrived and arrested the suspect nearby,” police said.

The two victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
