TEUTOPOLIS, Ill. (WAND) - A Teutopolis man has been arrested, accused of sexually assaulting a child.
Jeffery R. Esker, 34, was arrested on a warrant on Dec. 5. The warrant stems from accusations reported within Effingham County and investigated by the Effingham County Sheriff’s Office. The warrant, issued Dec. 5 in the Fourth Judicial Circuit Court, charges Esker with two counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child (victim under 13 years of age), both classified as Class X felonies. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be filed, officials said. Esker has a court appearance scheduled for Dec. 11. Top Stories:
