GRAND ISLE, LA — Residents on the Cheniere side of Grand Isle can once again use their tap water without boiling or disinfecting it.
The area was placed under a boil advisory Wednesday after a drop in water pressure raised safety concerns.
During the advisory, residents were told not to use tap water for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, washing dishes, or making ice unless it was first boiled or disinfected.
On Thursday, parish officials announced that water pressure had been restored and testing confirmed the water is safe to drink.
