WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Sedgwick County filed a theft report with the sheriff’s office and federal authorities connected with the theft of about $1.3 million by CivicSource, an online auction company from New Orleans. The county explained that CivicSource “provides property tax foreclosure services to municipalities in multiple states.”

Sedgwick County explained what led up to the reported theft beginning with the county treasurer’s office identifying properties with delinquent property liens for judicial tax foreclosure and judicial sale, as is required by statute.
