PITTSFIELD TWP., MI — Pittsfield Township Deputy Chief Jason Hohner would not release any information Wednesday night about former University of Michigan Coach Sherrone Moore, reportedly detained and turned over to the department.
Hohner said he is not authorized to share any details at this time. A press release will come later Wednesday night, he told reporters gathered outside the police department south of Ann Arbor.
ESPN reported Wednesday night the Saline Police Department “assisted in locating and detaining former University of Michigan football coach Sherrone Moore.”
Moore, according to the statement to ESPN, has since been turned over to township police “for investigation into potential charges.”
Messages left Wednesday with the Washtenaw County sheriff were not returned. C
