ST. CLAIR COUNTY, MI – A Redford man accused of breaking into multiple homes while working as a delivery driver has been arrested after a string of home invasions in St. Clair County.
Deonte King, a 32-year-old man from Redford, was charged with felony first degree home invasion and five counts of felony second degree home invasion for the alleged crimes, according to a news release from the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office.
The break-ins took place from Nov. 28 through Dec. 3. Seven home invasions were reported in total, according to the release.
Deputies were called to Werner Road in Columbus Township after a resident reported his home was broken into. Valuables were stolen from the scene.
King was stopped in a white box truck not far from the home and taken into custody, according
