Semaj Bridgeman is apparently looking for a third school.
The Michigan State redshirt sophomore linebacker who began his career at Michigan is planning on entering the portal, according to a report Wednesday night from On3. He had six tackles, including one for a loss, in 15 games over two seasons with the Spartans while playing mostly on special teams.
Bridgeman, 6-foot-2 and 231 pounds, is a former four-star recruit from Philadelphia who signed with Michigan’s 2023 recruiting class and didn’t play as a true freshman. He transferred to Michigan State and played three games last season on special teams and logged 51 defensive snaps in 12 games this year.
Bridgeman would be the ninth roster departure, including two walk-ons, for the Spartans since coach Jonathan Smith was fired following
