EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Former Michigan State linebacker and current Notre Dame linebackers coach Max Bullough will return to MSU to serve as linebackers coach and co-defensive coordinator under DC Joe Rossi and head coach Pat Fitzgerald, SpartanMag’s Jim Comparoni reports .
Bullough, 33, played under former MSU coach Mark Dantonio and was an All-Big Ten selection in 2011, 2012, and 2013. He was a team captain in 2012 and ‘13, leading MSU to a Big Ten Championship in 2013. Bullough went undrafted before playing three years in the NFL for the Houston Texans.
Bullough began his coaching career shortly after, serving as a graduate assistant at Cincinnati, Alabama, and Notre Dame. He was named Notre Dame’s linebackers coach in 2024 and has held that position on the Irish’s staff since
