FRANKFORT, Ky. (WAVE) – Dozens of Kentucky State University (KSU) students spent their Wednesday moving out for the semester the day after one of their classmates was killed on campus.

De’Jon Darrell Fox, Jr., a 19-year-old Sophomore at KSU from Indianapolis, died at the hospital after the shooting.

Police arrested Jacob Lee Bard, 48, from Evansville. Officials say he is a father to at least one student on campus.

He is accused of shooting Fox and one other student during a “physical altercation.” The unnamed student remains in critical condition Wednesday.

The moments leading up to the shooting were captured on video from a dorm window and shared on social media. Frankfort police did not answer questions as to what may have caused the altercation, or why Bard was on campus.
