HOMER, Neb. (KTIV) - Jolly Ole Saint Nick has his hands full this time of year. But, that didn’t stop him from visiting Homer, Nebraska’s Volunteer Fire Department to help them with some special deliveries.

Wednesday night, he rode around town with some of the volunteer firefighters to help deliver pizzas to the community.

“Usually, about 3 weeks before we set it up or schedule it, we’ll post it on Facebook and then hang flyers. We contact each of the areas of business to make sure that they’re still able to help support us this year in doing it,” said Dale Barclay, Fire Chief for the Homer Volunteer Fire Department.

This is the department’s 4th year holding the festive event.

“The very first year we did it, we had like 83 orders. The very first year was unbelievable,” said Barclay.
