WOODBURY — The Old Woodbury Historical Society will present a reading of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” on Sunday, December 14 at 3 p.m. in the Hurd House Museum, located at 25 Hollow Road, in Woodbury. Local actor and entertainer Douglas Schlicher will once again be sharing this beloved holiday story, bringing the characters to life in what has become a time-honored tradition at the Hurd House museum.
While the story may be familiar, this event provides a singular experience in hearing the tale of Ebeneezer Scrooge, as told in the words of Charles Dickens himself. Listeners are invited to gather in the parlor with fireside seating, including a brief intermission for refreshments.
Seating is limited. The program is free with donations accepted.
