BEREA, Ohio — Toll rates on the Ohio Turnpike will increase by 2.7% on Jan. 1 for both passenger and commercial vehicles. The Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission announced the scheduled hike, noting that E-ZPass customers will continue to save an average of 33% compared to those paying with cash or credit card.
Starting in 2026, E-ZPass drivers in passenger vehicles (Class 1) will pay 7.3 cents per mile, up from 7.1 cents in 2025. Cash or credit card users will pay 10.6 cents per mile, up from 10.4 cents.
For commercial vehicle drivers (Class 5), the E-ZPass rate will rise from 22 cents to 22.6 cents per mile, while the cash or card rate will increase from 27.6 cents to 28.4 cents.
