SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - On Thursday, Dec. 11, Brookshires Grocery Co. (BGC) donated $80,000 in food items to the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana.

The donation included 40,000 pounds of fresh produce and 2,000 hams.

The hams were donated in partnership with Hormel Foods Corporation for the 9,000 Hormel “Cure 81″ initiative. The two companies are donating $100,000 total worth of ham to the Food Bank of North Louisiana and other food banks in the company’s market area.
