JONES COUNTY, Miss. — No injuries were reported after a Jones County school bus and an 18-wheeler log truck were involved in a crash Tuesday morning on Highway 84 East, according to authorities.

The Jones County Sheriff’s Department said it assisted the Mississippi Highway Patrol and the Mississippi Department of Public Safety Commercial Truck Enforcement Division at the scene of the crash, which happened at the intersection of Highway 84 East and Magnolia Road.

Officials said the Jones County School District bus was transporting students to East Jones Elementary School when it and the log truck sustained sideswipe damage. A tire on each vehicle was damaged in the crash.
