NEWFANE, N.Y. — A barn was deemed a total loss following an overnight fire that happened in Niagara County.
The fire broke out at 7007 Ridge Road in Newfane. The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center became aware of the fire following a 911 call it received at 1:55 a.m. Thursday.
Sheriff's office deputies who arrived at the scene found the barn fully engulfed by flames.
"The structure and its contents are determined to be a total loss with no estimate to the approximate value at this time," the county sheriff's office said in a statement.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Niagara County Fire Investigation Unit.
