TEMPLE, Texas — The City of Temple announced changes to its solid waste collection schedule on Thursday.

Here is what Central Texans can expect:

CHRISTMAS (Dec. 25)

• No collections on Thursday, Dec. 25

• Thursday routes will be collected on Friday, Dec. 26

• Friday routes will be collected on Saturday, Dec. 27

• The landfill will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 25

NEW YEAR’S DAY (Jan. 1)

• No collections on Thursday, Jan. 1

• Thursday routes will be collected on Friday, Jan. 2

• Friday routes will be collected on Saturday, Jan. 3

• The landfill will be closed on Thursday, Jan. 1

Temple city offices will be closed Dec. 24, 2025 to Dec. 25, 2025 and on Jan. 1, 2026. The city said offices will reopen at 8 a.m. the following business day.
