SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- A contractor reported Dec. 1 that concrete had been damaged by several vehicles after it was poured in the parking lot of a shopping plaza in the 1900-block of Warrensville Center Road.
He said the vehicles left deep tire ruts in the surface and that the concrete would need to be completely removed and replaced with an estimated cost of $23,000.
He was first under the belief that somebody from the Jamaica Jerk Centa had moved the caution cones without authorization but there was no evidence that any employees of the restaurant had done so.
Officers spoke with an employee from another business who said that he personally watched a car stop along Grosvenor Road and saw the driver exit, move the cones and then drive onto and park on the concrete.
