Girls wrestling is one of the fastest-growing high school sports in the country, and it’s taken off in Pennsylvania since the state sanctioned it in 2023-24.

Earlier this week, PennLive shined a spotlight on the Mid-Penn Conference , featuring the Mid-Penn girls wrestling preseason All-Stars in 2025.

Now we’re featuring 25 of the best of the best girls wrestlers across the state.

25 PA GIRLS WRESTLERS TO WATCH IN 2025-26

Alaina Claassen, Sr., Plum

Claassen has a 73-11 high school record and made the state tournament each of her first three seasons, finishing third and sixth at 235 pounds before reaching the 190 final last season, losing to Quakertown’s Caroline Hattala.

Alexis Penley, Fr., Wyoming Seminary

Penley is a Plainfield, Ill., native who comes to the national prep power
