WEST HARTFORD, CT. (WFSB) - Starbucks workers at the Corbin’s Corner location will join a national strike Friday, walking off the job to protest what their union calls unfair labor practices.

The baristas will trade their aprons for picket signs, joining over 3,800 Starbucks workers around the country in the labor action. Many workers have been striking since Red Cup Day in November, which was the most profitable day in company history.

“We’re going to be out here marching for our rights,” said Travis Glenney-Tegtmeier, a shift supervisor that has worked at Starbucks for over seven years.

He said workers are demanding better conditions.
